Abstract

By using data collected from the literature, it was possible to derive equations which correlate leaf composition with the rainfall in the 9 weeks (two months) before sampling. For each 200 mm of rain there was a variation in P contents from 0,016 to 0.034% (depending on the type of soil); in the case of K the variation was 0.071%.
