Abstract

In recent years food market globalization has led to the need of differentiating productions, for instance by recognizing products quality thanks to quality labels. In this regardGeographical Indications’ systemisone of the toolsmost likely to ensuretherecognition of the qualityat an international level. Thispaper presents areflectionon the functionalityof Geographical Indicationsas a tool formarket regulation and for tha valorization of food chain products.
