In the last decade, public universities all over Brazil have implemented affirmative action policies in their graduate selection processes. However, this process is still strange to many of them, because issues such as the construction of projects and the mastery of foreign languages are the first barriers to this access. With the arrival of new students, new ways to broaden the possibilities of entry for such groups are also emerging. This article intends to contribute and present a real proposal for the democratization of knowledge and full access of minority groups to graduate courses. Therefore, this article reports on the emergence, the concerns, the methodological processes, and the results of the Itéramãxe Collective, which aims, through a circular mentoring program, to orient and prepare students for the selection processes.
