This article shows fourpatterns of Jewish–Christian traditionpilg rimages. T he description andanalysis of these pilgrimages arefundamental marks on the history ofFraternidade Eclética EspiritualistaUniversal (created by Mestre Yokaanam,in 1946 in Rio de Janeiro and alreadywith sixteen branches in Brazil andabroad). He also founded the CidadeEclética in 1956 on the goiano plateauand still exists in the present days. Thearticle is based on theoretical andethnographic research made by theauthor in Cidade Eclética, which is arural religious community where severalhundreds of members live.Downloads
