Abstract

This article deals with the interethnic relationship among several ethnic groups in South Brazil. Anthropological and historical studies have always considered the conflicting relationships between European conquerours and Brazilian indigenous. However, in the 500 years of Brazilian history, friendships and interethnic marriages were created in order to establish political alliances. This article analyzes the interethnic relationships between two Indigenous groups of Santa Catarina: one Kaingang (aldeia Kondá) and the other Guarani (Tekoha Araça´i)
