YOUTH IN TIME OF UNCERTAINTY: FACING CHALLENGES IN EDUCATION AND WORK

Abstract

This work results from a research that tried to apprehend, in a relational way, the main aspects of the youth workers student´s practices and representations of schooling and working, in their transition to adult life, nowadays. They attended at two public schools, in the evening. We found out a complex reality which is characterized by heterogeneity of schooling and working trajectories, through the educational system and the working world. We also found out differences about their plans of future, educational representations, working senses and practices of sociability, in spite of their similar social origins.
