LAPIC: Espaço lúdico de conhecimento sobre TV/criança

The article presents an abstract on history, on the goals of the LAPIC -Laboratório de Pesquisas sobre Infância, Imaginário e Comunicações (Infancy, Imaginary and Communications Research Laboratory) -, a production and socialization center on knowledge on the TV/Child relationship linked to the University of São Paulo School of Communications and Arts. The author, who is the coordinator of the laboratory, begins commenting on her own trajectory towards the study of the child/imaginary/TV relationship. She emphasizes the research, seminars, symposia and other activities organized by LAPIC, highlighting the importance of discussing the theme, especially in current reality, in which TV is an ever-growing part of people's day-to-day lives.
