USP’s CEN graduates the first "educommunicators" in São Paulo

Abstract

ECA-USP’s Communication and Education Nucleus, in a partnership with the São Paulo City Hall, is developing an educommunication project – called educom.radio – at elementary schools. The project, started in September 2001, is foreseen to last through 2004. It will attend 9,100 people (among teachers, students, parents and employees), and will reach all 455 municipal schools. Educom.radio carries out theoretical and practical activities to capacitate its participants to develop teaching activities using the media, most especially the radio, in the classroom.
