The communication in service of teenagers citizenship and identity

This study makes a short historical analysis of the youths’ situation in Brazil and approaches the Educommunication theme, highlighting it as a methodology of the communication use, specially the radio, as a tool to the promotion and rescue of citizenship of youths in Brazil. Some projects and initiativesare presented as a way to reach such objective. This is the case of the project Jornal e Radio no UFJF: Território de Oportunidades
(Newspaper and Radio in the UFJF Opportunities Territory, in English), about which a research (quantitative and qualitative) with the participating youths was performed, and the results are showed in the following article.
