Sitting posture caracterization in two differents furnitures and its influence during the performance in a grafic test - report cases

Abstract

This work, through a study of three participants, characterized the sitting posture in two types of furniture chair-table with diferent ergonomic characteristics, during manual activity, through the Video system Position Analiser. After this characterization, it was analyzed the relationsship among the sitting posture in the two furnitures and the manual activity (graphic test). The statistical analysis demonstrated that the experimental furniture of chair-table promoted a significam improvement in the hability during the graphic test, for the three participants of the research, improving the speed of accomplishment of the lines (number of lines) with maintenance of the quality of the lines (percentage of successes).
