The subjectivity's place

Abstract

In this article the author compares the artistic production to the prescriptive work that is intend for "mad" since last century with the advent ofthe moral treatment, that exists until today in the closed psychiatrics institutions. Through the account of a case, try to present the benefit produced by the publication ofa tape with songs from the user, from the view ofthat same therapeutic process, as well as the reflexive route brought to cabe by the team of the Núcleo de Atenção Psicossocial, Centro, in Santos, São Paulo, that in the first moment submited disagreement about the conduction of this case, demonstrating root from manicomial culture in the daily practice of a opened work that brings to invest in the subjectivity from its users, and face its contradictions.
