Abstract

'Pera' sweet orange budwood was budded on fieldgrown Rungpur lime seedlings. Compared budding heights were 5, 10, 20 and 40 cm and budding expositions were north, south, east and west. The forcing method was lopping. There were no effects of height or exposition on bud take. Vigours of the plants, however, was affected by budding height. Budding heights of 5 or 10 cm induced the longest axes and the heightest diameters.
