Abstract

The work presented here approaches Enrique Lihn's homage-poem called Varadero de Ruben Darío, published on the Casa de las Américas journal, n. 42. We have observed the diruption and challenge perspective of the Chilean poet in the context of the reinterpretations which happened in the 1970's. Taking them into account, we may realize more than the rhetoric of a celebration, but the modulation of an anti-homage. We have paid close attention to the ways how Enrique Linh's discourse revives and reformulates the issues from the critic about Dario, mainly when it comes to the Gallicization and the representation of what Rodó had denominated the man who feels.
