Abstract

This article deals with the transformation that is occurring in the countryside, having as a reference the process of globalization of the society. This process is though as a new stage of development of capitalism, in wich productive sectors and large economic conglomerates control and centralize production in a worldwilde scale. Within this context, the production, distribution and consumption of products at the countryside are transformed and agriculture becomes, mainly, a producer of industrial inputs.
