The present article aims at divulging the preliminary results of a research accomplished in FEUSP's Education Memory Center, starting from the organization of the archives of Brazilian anarchist educator João Penteado, important figure in Brazil's experience of Modern Schools. These were inspired by their Spanish homonymous, created in the beginning of XX century by anarchist educator Francisco Ferrer Y Guardia, who was executed for political reasons in 1909, in Spain. Modern Schools - or Rationalist - constitute a relevant contribution to world's libertary pedagogy and are inseparable from the ensemble of anarchist practices, in full vigor at that historical moment, when the horizon was self-administration of social life in all its dimensions.Downloads
