Female profiles at the Sergipe Law School (1950 to 1970)

The objective of this work is to correlate education and gender, applied to the field of the Right. Specifically, it deals with the learning and teaching feminine presence in the Law School of Sergipe (FDS), in the period of 1950 to 1970, based on the survey of the women who graduated, of the prizes granted to them, as well as by means of the trajectory of the pioneering pupils Aída the Prado Teles Milk and Maria of the Conceição Cardoso Ribeiro, and of Juçara Fernandes Leal, the only woman to have acted in that legal academy as a teacher. This study, based on New Cultural History and the concepts historically constructed concerning gender, launched hand of bibliographical, written registers, oral and iconographic souces as well as on periodics. It is the first inquiry to relate gender and Legal Education in Sergipe, in the considered period.Downloads
