Abstract

In São Bernardo do Campo/São Paulo, in the "heart" of the Brazilian new trade unionism, there was a group a workers against the trade unionist speech and loyal to the company and the boss. This article attempts to show some of the reasons that permited the construction of this peculiar situation, emphazing in particular the importance of charismatic domination exercised by the boss. Thus, highlighted the social foundations of the personality of the boss as well as their sociopolitical positions, articulating aspects of your personal traits to the general frame of the brazilian industrial paternalist tradition (marked by the action of the famous "captains of industry"), showing some of the elements that permited the constitution of a type of labor domination that was essential to the viability of yoyr company.
