Abstract

The dynamic of an urban contemporary process occurs rapidly, preventing us from getting an effective appropriation of its dimensions. The images of his daily routine, exhibited either in photos or movies aim, as a whole, to demonstrate such a task. However, more than registers, such tasks are constituted by constructions - translated by their authors - mainly about subjects that have touched them, making therefore their readings own perceptions. History, social context, cultural critics and art mix all within the same context. On his works, centered mainly in the city of Madrid from Movida - an effervescent period of transformation and political and cultural creation of the beginning of 1980's Spain - the cinematographer Pedro Almodovar develops his synthesis. This reflection is conditioned to sociological outspreads of this sort of activities, enunciating cosmopolitan behavior and artistic-cinematographic production.
