The implications of racial ideology in Brazil are so overwhelming that - besides excluding and killing the Afro-Brazilian population - it has created new forms of division in society, in a clear exercise in maintaining the status quo of social elites. The reinforcement of theories that corroborate with racial hatred, even if a certain Afro-Brazilian type is valued, is strongly criticized, especially multiculturalism, through the contextualization of miscegenation and whitening theory. In this sense, when focusing on the life history of an Afro-Brazilian, the text seeks to unravel the false path of the theory of "cultural appropriation" and points out the various determinants of Brazilian racism.
