Abstract

In 2008, there is a lot to commemorate: two hundred years of press in Brazil; one hundred years of Machado de Assis’ death; one hundred years of Guimarães Rosa’s birth; fifty years of Cinema Novo and of Bossa Nova, and there is the re-edition of the album Chega de Saudade. But it is also the anniversary of May 1968, year to remember of the social upheaval, of the Brazilian artists and youth fights against the Military Dictatorship and AI-5. Those are unforgetable themes to be approached in school with creativity and good humor.
