Abstract

The Press Observatory conducts, in the Internet, since 1996, the criticism of the Brazilian media, promoting the dialogue with and among readers with the intention of enhance the analytical
sense of the public. This study intended to analyze how this online media help foster mediation between the press and their readers, and the organic and the tools used by the vehicle allow the participation and enhancement of critical audience. The language of the site was also the subject of this research to include the journalism practiced by the new media environment as well as to narrow the debate with younger people.
