Abstract

It is characterized the appropriation of Deleuzian philosophy in Information Science (IS), through literature review and metric treatment of articles collected in the database Reference Database of Journal Articles in Information Science (Brapci) and Library and Information Science Abstract (LISA). It starts from the opposition between "school" and "movement" in order to identify by which of the two ways Information Science appropriates the philosophy of Deleuze. For that, Information Science is described in the context of the Social Sciences and for its inter and transdisciplinary relationships with other knowledge, highlighting its link with philosophy. The results reveal the beginning of a connection that has become more common in the last decade. It is concluded that the appropriation that Information Science makes of the philosophy of Deleuze is guided by the idea of "movement".
