Abstract

Through the perception that historical knowlodge is built upon the tension between the object and the tripod composed of the teorical and metodological foundation, historiographical debate and documental analisys, the text demonstrate how the history of the Oscar Freire Institute of the Faculty of Medicine of USP can be understood inside this definitions, disrupting a memorialist view of the past of the institution.
