Abstract

The aim of this paper is to present the analysis of Weber’s perspective, as an historian of Classical Antiquity, about the social causes of decline of ancient culture, and to compare this perspective with others from different temporal and contemporary contexts. Our intention is to show how Weber’s work has common and discordant points with the others works cited in the article.
