The present dossier gathers fourteen contributions, from friends and colleagues who decided to express, on behalf of many others and many others - not all of them were able - with texts of appreciation and analysis, the personal admiration and the professional appreciation they have for the master and friend Amado Cervo , highlighting aspects of his thinking and his ancestry over the area.
Divided into four parts, the dossier addresses the professional insertion, intellectual training and family background of Amado Cervo (I); its impact and influence on the history of International Relations and Brazilian Foreign Policy studies, including its theoretical innovation and the discussion of the dominant “schools of thought”; its exemplarity in the practice of teaching the history of International Relations (III) and some illustrative cases of the historical theme in International Relations (IV).
