Neoliberalism and subject: construction of identity, resignification of suffering and exclusion of difference

Inspired by the identification of neoliberalism as rationality, and as a manifestation of a new subjectivity, this research proposes to understand how the process of transformation and institution of the neoliberal subject is established and conditioned under parameters of performance. The consequent inadequacy of these parameters is inserted in the discourse of psychiatric-psychological diagnoses, leading to a re-signification of suffering. As a consequence, the forms of identity recognition are altered, determining spaces of exclusion in relation to the different. As a result of bibliographic research (descriptive and exploratory), carried out through the interpretative method (description, conceptualization, characterization and consequences), it was possible to understand how the new neoliberal rationality intervenes in the construction of identity and the re-signification of suffering, defining and establishing spaces of exclusion in relation to the different.
