The AA. studied the ductus parotideus opening in 124 heads of adult male sheep and related it to the vestibular surface of the upper cheek teeth, or better, to:1st. the vestibular surface of the upper 1st molar — 86 pairs (69.2% ± 2.9).
2nd. the vestibular surface of the upper 3rd premolar — 31 pairs (25.0% ± 2.7).
3rd. the contact line between the upper 3rd premolar and upper 1st molar — 4 pairs (3.2% ± 1.1).
4th. the contact line between the 1st and 2nd upper molars —3 pairs (2.6% ± 1.0).
The bilateral symmetry of the opening of the ductus parotideus was always evident.
