Isolation and identification of Corybacterium pseudotuberculosis from sheep and goat raised in São Paulo and minas Gerais State

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to describe the isolation in pure growth of three isolates of Corybacterium pseudotuberculosis (Corynebacterium ovis) from three plus samples drained from pre-parotidis lymphonode abscesses of goat and sheep respectively 2 strains from caprine of Sorocaba, São Paulo state, and 1 strain from ovine of Extrema, Minas Gerais state. The aim of this paper ir the communication of the disease occurence in this part of the country, in order to aware the animal health authorities.
