Comportamientos de riesgo asociados con el embarazo adolescente: desafíos contemporáneos relacionados con el uso de sustancias

Los crecientes problemas del consumo de sustancias están asociados con un conjunto diverso de variables individuales y contextuales. Esta investigación tuvo como objetivo discutir el embarazo adolescente debido y el riesgo químico para la salud por conducta inadecuada. El método aplicado consistió en un estudio de diseño observacional transversal asociado a la encuesta de conocimientos, actitudes y prácticas que se llevó a cabo en 42 adolescentes embarazadas de 12 a 18 años. Se aplicó un cuestionario estructurado en su visita prenatal de noviembre de 2017 a octubre de 2018. Se prepararon tablas descriptivas utilizando frecuencias en números absolutos y porcentajes. 11 adolescentes (26,19%) informaron haber fumado 7 cigarrillos al día (DE = 4,51), con un rango de 5 a 45 cigarrillos / día. En cuanto a la ingesta de alcohol, 16 (38,09%) admitieron haber bebido al menos en una ocasión durante el embarazo y 8 (19,05%) en forma abusiva. Respecto a otro tipo de drogas, 12 (28,57%) admitieron haberlas consumido durante el embarazo, y 3 (7,14%) de ellas informaron consumo de drogas intravenosas. 7 (16,66%) tenían una relación con un compañero usuario de drogas intravenosas. El consumo de alcohol, cigarrillos y drogas ilícitas fue relativamente común en las adolescentes embarazadas. Los hallazgos indican que la mayoría de los casos tienen su uso inicial en este período de desarrollo. Existe una falta de esfuerzos de prevención, políticas públicas y tratamiento en esta población específica, especialmente en este mundo moderno, donde los factores de riesgo impactan de manera específica en la sociedad.
