Influence of neuromotor intensive therapy on control of the head of a child with spastic quadriplegia

Children with cerebral palsy show motor disorders associated with abnormal sensibility. In children with diplegia although these changes are prominent in the lower limbs, but upper limbs and hands are also particularly affected. It is a transversal study with the aim to evaluate the sensitivity of the hands of children with cerebral palsy diplegia type by 3 sensibities tests: Location of Touch Light, Two Point Discrimination (5 and 10mm) and Esteregnosia, while verified applicability of a low cost proposed to be used in clinical practice. It was found that children with diplegia have a sensibility deficit when compared to typically developing children in discriminative touch tests in the Location Touch Light and of Discrimination Two Points of 5mm, which is greater disabilities in discrimination testing Two Point 5 mm.Downloads
