Abstract

This article introduces the discussion about the implementation's importance of the therapeutic residential services, in the new politics of mental health context. Starting from the international deinstitutionalization's experiences, put in context, presents the creation's process of these services in State of São Paulo and points out for the future psychiatric reform's challenges in course at Brazil.
