Abstract

With interest to the knowledge concerning the utilization of massage in the treating of infants and children, it has been create a bibliographic resource where texts may be critically analyzed, considering the foundation, descriptions of the techniques and physiological and behavioral effects of massage for infants and children. The literature of the last thirty years scarcely mentions the fundamentals of the techniques and effects, preventing the reader form the necessary enlightenment about the subject. More studies in this area are necessary.
