The present paper tries to sketch out some key ideas that we consider interesting to the establishment of a psychological care for child and that are the result of our activity whether as professionals connected with this exactly ground or as participants, at the university, in psychologists' qualification for this specific area. Differently from the adult, the entrance of the child and the adolescent in the mental health's field took a longer path: it will be only in the 20th century that a psychological care for child will end up being established as an autonomous area of study. This particular history and the specificity of a child's subjective constitution will help characterize this mental care as a multi-disciplinary and interconnected subject: indeed, a broaden care. Therefore, the modern child care is suited for offering to psychopathology an approaching and conceptualizing model well dissociated from the medical paradigm that still continues to be the mark of the adult psychological care.Downloads
