This study brings an historical analysis of Occupational Therapy, using as a background of its path the developing of the capitalistic system, trying to catch the social meaning of the profession while specialization of the collective work. Being the occupational therapist inside of this kind of society, the need to point the political action existent on the occupational therapeutic act has raised, due to the fact that the professional acts over the contradiction existent on the relation capital / work contributing to the reproduction of the social relations.Downloads
