This paper proposes to think about the meanings of transdisciplinarity, either as a principie ofproduction and articulation ofknowledge or as reality ofhealth pratices undertaken by the various professionals. Starting from the introduction of interdisciplinarity in health practice, this work intends to debate the room and limits for the health sector to tum into a transdisciplinary fíeld, doing so from the standing point ofthe epistemology ofcomplexity by E.Morin, the proposals by the International Center for Transdisciplinary Research (CIRET) and the multireference approach by J. Ardoino. At last the paper considers the liable impact of transdisciplinarity for Occupational Therapy and argues on how the notion of fíeld may be constructed in the area.
