Abstract

This work aims to discuss Abdullah Öcalan's thinking under the light of Frantz Fanon's reflections on coloniality. We will try to present, first, a brief introduction on the Kurdish question. Next, we shall discuss the specificity of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in the Kurdish party spectrum. We will then move on to a more in-depth analysis of Öcalan's elaborations on the “new man” he stands for, as well as the role of women in the Kurdistan revolution. So presented the propositions of this author and militant, we seek to undertake a Fanonian criticism of the rescue of Kurdish history and "personality" as proposed by Öcalan.
