About 30years afterthe appearance ofCamera lucida, GeoffreyBatchen, professorat the City Universityof NewYork, offersan overview of thehistory of this book’s receptionin English language contexts. Compiling 14articlespreviously published in Anglo-Americanbooksand journals, Photographydegreezeroconducesa trip through the interpretivefields tangled at the readingofRolandBarthes’s worksince theearly 80s, shortly after theauthor’s death.
