Abstract

From a study of a crime process in São Paulo, at the 1940 decade, this article pretends to suggest some indications for one social history of the poor population under the "New State". It´s essencial objective is to understand how through is relationship between servants and its employers familys of both with the public power, it is going to criate one notion of citizenship that each time limits the worker´s action and, on the side like this same workers interpreted and lived this restrictions.
