The objective of this work is to problematize two identities: Shirley Marlone, the transsexual prostitute, protagonist of Deixei ele lá e vim (2006), as well as that of the betrayed wife, who is not named in Nada a dizer (2010), romances by Elvira Vigna. It is also intended to reflects the presence of loneliness at the heart of the personality of these characters, which functions as a symptom of a porous and liquefied identity. This analysis has as theoretical contribution the studies of Zygmunt Bauman (2001, 2003), Stuart Hall (1992), Jair Ferreira dos Santos (2000) and Paolo Cugine (2008), in what concerns identity in postmodernity and Marc Augé (1994), which discuss the non-belonging and the displacement of subjects in the most diverse spaces.
