These reflections aim at understanding the images which are composed by the narrator of Herança, a short story written by Ricardo Ramos, published in Estação Primeira (São Paulo:Scipione, 1996) and addressed to a young audience. The intent is to demonstrate, in the light of literary theory, that Ramos seems to have the necessity to provoke a response, to produce an effect on the reader with a way of representation and a content represented that lays bare the essence of the human condition, without, however, forgo the aesthetic character and, therefore, demanding an active participation from the reader in the interactive process with the fictional text.Downloads
