Abstract

This paper examines the tale Quem me dera ser onda, written by the angolan author Manuel Rui, to propose an interpretation of the laughter as a key of decipherment and analysis of post-indepence Angolan society. It is in the study of the Bakhtin's carnival and grotesque concepts that arise the proposes of this essay.
