Fluxos comunitários: jangadas, margens e travessias

A partir da análise de imagem do filme Diários de motocicleta, de Walter Salles, são discutidos os sentidos da práxis do estudante Ernesto Guevara de La Serna e a perspectiva latino-americana que ela suscita. O rio Amazonas é nuclear para essas observações. Em torno dele, são enfocados os romances A jangada, de Júlio Verne, o filme Fitzcarraldo (O preço de um sonho), de Herzog, escritos de Euclides da Cunha e o recente romance Dois Irmãos, de Milton Hatoum. Um dos temas centrais de Guimarães Rosa, a travessia, serve de motivo para a discussão do papel intelectual e dos comunitarismos culturais. A Jangada de Pedra, de José Saramago, é a interlocução portuguesa para essas reflexões.
