Abstract

Some of the contemporary novels produced in Angola in this millennium present themselves as written memories which revisit and call into question intricacies of the history of the country, while rethinking cultural aspects of its society. Evidencing such procedures, we analyze here Boaventura Cardoso’s Noites de vigilia and Manuel Rui’s Travessia por imagem.
