Abstract

The objective is to verify the transformations that took place in the James Bond cinematographic character during the five decades in which the 007 films were produced, as a result of changes that emerge from the phenomenon of mediatization of culture that permeates society nowadays, not only appropriating cultural phenomena but also affecting their modes of expressive representation. Aspects such as the comfort and virility of the secret agent’s character in the top five and still in the seventh film of the saga, with Scotsman Sean Connery, in contrast to the last four films, with the Englishman Daniel Craig, to prove, in the cinematographic evidence, certain exchanges that, over time, take place between social events and media culture, in their political and audiovisual evolution, from the last half of the 20th century to the first decades of the 21st century.
