Abstract

This article intends to analyze some images and social constructions seen in the film «Terra estrangeira», (Walter Salles and Daniela Thomas). We are more interested in those that are related to subjects as the national identity, the historical trajectory and politics of Brazil and Portugal and, over all, on the situation of the National State and the Nation as (im)possibility of identification and shelter for the Brazilian citizen and its art.
