Abstract

The article presents a sociological and communicative-technological perspective concerning aspects of the changes in the society as consequence of the sprouting of a new economic model, andthe communication modernization, showing the influence of the new technologies, as the Internet, in the transformation of the society to what some authors call “information society” or “knowledge society”. Based on the goal of studying the projects in development in the city, the results make possible a reflection on the effectiveness of the projects of digital inclusion, in particular on Palmas Virtual, implanted in the city of Palmas (TO).
