Abstract

On this article the authors disapprove of the reproductive role of school and the control of the media, and present the educomunication on the practice of reading in school as an alternative. Through the combination of the ludic and artistic speeches they bring several possibilities for the practice of reading and propose a new model for the traditional and authoritarian teaching model. From a semiological standpoint based on Peirce’s theory, the authors offer practices that lead children to critical analyses of books, therefore avoiding mechanical reproduction on the learning process.
