Abstract

In the light of Sarlo’s theoretical proposal (2011) of investigating the use made of Twitter by Argentine politicians, this paper presents the analysis of such model in the Brazilian context. To that intent, this article analyses Marina Silva’s profile on Twitter - during the election period of 2010 - as a contemporary manifestation of “micro reports” of the subjective turnaround. It also points out the differences between the political discourse and the electoral discourse, analyses Twitter as a possible biographical space and observes the interlacement of public and private spaces provided in this environment.
