Abstract

The popular protests that stopped Brazil in June 2013 showed diffuse insatisfaction, which gradually emerged as a historical-political event, integrated by anonymous people and crossed by the use of new media. In concern to media culture, the performance of celebrities during events strikes us as a curious point of reflection as we are able to observe the inclusion of artists in the crowd, while their actions  were widely highlighted by media. In order to better understand the possible boundaries that surround and differ the notions of anonymity and celebrification in the territory of mediatization, this article aims at identifying some types of relationship created by some Brazilian celebrities during the mass manifestations of the year 2013.
