Abstract

Media is not immune to mediatization. This field of study reinvents its own narratives in order to create even higher discursive bonds among the receptors and to interact even more with society in general. This paper aims to analyze the discursive strategies of what we usually call mediatized journalism, trying to recognize how the identity dimensions reveal themselves in the discursive dispositive. We recur to three editions of the television news show Balanço geral, produced by TV Record in Marabá, southeast of Pará. We consider that the slangs, images and soundtrack used in television news are a symptom of the media attempts, beyond sensationalism, to fit to an image of an urban and industrial Amazon.
